Artificial intelligence is already changing how we measure, make decisions and take action. That was the focus of our contribution to the fourth Ibiza Tech Forum, held from 19 to 22 May 2026 in Sant Josep de sa Talaia. One of the Mediterranean’s leading technology gatherings, the event brought together more than 500 business leaders from around 30 countries.
Marco Mendoza, CEO and founder of TrueWorld and President of Fundació Joves Navegants, the organisation behind Love The Mediterranean, spoke on the artificial intelligence panel at The Next Unicorn, the forum’s startup competition.
Four perspectives on AI
Marco joined Virginia Sanz Rojo, founder and CEO of Can Joy Ibiza; Jaime Massó Caballero, Director of Marketing and Communications at ESIC University; and Covadonga Torres Assiego, a PhD holder and expert in legaltech and artificial intelligence.
Their varied backgrounds made for a wide-ranging discussion about how AI is already transforming sustainability, education and the legal sector, as well as shaping how businesses will operate in the future. All four speakers agreed on the technology’s enormous potential to deliver smarter, more efficient and more responsible solutions.
Putting AI to work for the planet
At TrueWorld, artificial intelligence is an essential tool. We use it to analyse large volumes of environmental data, build digital twins and develop predictive models that help anticipate the impact of human activity on local environments. These include the models we use in our public climate change observatory.
We believe AI is only worthwhile when it delivers meaningful benefits and is used responsibly, with reliable data, transparent decisions and people at its heart.
Thank you to Ibiza Tech Forum for the invitation and for encouraging these much-needed conversations about technology, innovation and impact.
